Hey! Welcome to my blog, a place where I share my thoughts and feelings on the society we live in today.

I am motivated by the work of bell hooks and Jennifer Nash, who combine the disciplines of race, sexuality, and class to better understand how the female body and position of women in society can be re-imagined through queer readings. I am also drawn to work by Angela Davis and her passion for abolitionist, anti-racist, feminist, and social movements in the strive for a world free of violence. I use these ideas as a foundation to understanding and questioning real life events and hope that this blog invites you, as a reader, to think differently by placing complex ideas into the context of our everyday lives.

I do believe, however, that imagery and artwork can provide a more nuanced and interpretative foundation to create cultural and long-lasting change, encouraging us to move beyond the barriers and borders of our own rational thinking, whilst considering new forms of permanence of abstract ways of thinking and seeing the world. That is why I think it’s really important to combine words and art together, so that we can begin building deeper understandings and relationships to the world that we live in, bringing the complex issues of discrimination down to a much more personal level, and therefore facilitating long lasting change.

I create hand painted and digitalised prints to reflect my ideas, which are also available to buy! So, if you see something you like please do get in touch either through email or via my Instagram. I am always open to ideas and commissions, just send me a message and I’ll get to work!

I hope you find this blog stimulating, and please do get in touch! I hope to create a vibrant community together, as a safe space to discuss what may seem uncomfortable topics and ideas. Take some time to explore the blog and find what sparks your interest. Feel free to reach out if you would like to collaborate on a project together!
